Indwelling Demons Cuddle-Resistant to God's Embrace

Updated: Jan 15, 2021

“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” --John 6:37 ESV

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.’" --John 10:27‭-‬30 ESV

“But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” --Matthew 12:28 ESV

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." --Luke 4:18‭-‬19 ESV

Jesus wants you to experience a love from God beyond your wildest imagination and will never cast you out. But it is also Jesus' nature to cast out demons. So although He wants you, if you stay in his presence and follow Him closely in relationship, all your sins and demons have to go! But that's a good thing, since sin results in death and disappointment and we don't like sin once we've tasted and seen how satisfying and incomparably awesome the love of God is. (1)

Sin/Demons try to stay as far away from His presence as possible. That's why people who feel they've blown it bad may timidly separate themselves from Him and His people. But God wants you to approach His throne of grace with freedom and confidence.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” --Hebrews 4:15‭-‬16 ESV

So if you feel bad, guilty, ashamed, dirty, fearful, etc., don't run away from God. Run to God. The Father's arms are opened wide. c.f. Luke 15:11ff. Forgiveness was bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. c.f. Col. 1:14; Eph. 1:7; 1 John 1:7-9 (2)

To discover how to enter a relationship with God, I recommend my new article “Have You Heard the News?”

For those who already have a relationship with God, if you like said article, I recommend sharing it with a friend through social media or in person with a beverage of your choice.
